We Teach Music is a collective of seriously experienced Music Teachers driven by a burning passion for live performance and lifetime learning of their craft. All of our teachers are DBS checked and can offer both private music lessons and peripatectic music teaching.
Guitar: Richard Morse
Based in Sevenoaks, Kent - Richard Morse has been playing guitar for over 25 years, inspired by the likes of Dave Gilmour, Steve Hackett, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and B.B.King. As a musician, Richard has sat-in on numerous studio recordings, played countless live events and has been taught by some huge industry artists, which have all attributed towards his plethora of techniques and licks. Great guitarists such as Martin Goulding and Mattias Eklundh have personally coached Richard to his current playing ability today. Richard has played in countless bands over the years, including the world-reknowned Think Floyd - one of the UK's greatest Pink Floyd tribute acts. During this time Richard has played in front of sold-out venue crowds, including a 6,000 strong crowd at the festival in Malta.
Drums: Conor Williams
Conor Williams has been playing drums since the age of 10. He studied at the University of Kent, gaining a distinction in Performing Popular Music. Conor is a versatile drummer with skills in a vast array of styles such as Rock, Pop, Funk, Soul, Jazz and Hip-Hop. He has performed original and function material at a number of venues including The Barfly, o2 Academy, Hop Farm, Boardmasters, Lounge on The Farm and French Quarter Festival in New Orleans. Since finishing his degree Conor has become an in demand music teacher, working privately and in schools across Kent. He appreciates attending live music shows, clinics and masterclasses, continuing to study and practice drums in order to become a better musician and drum lessons teacher.
WORKSHOP LEADER: Patrick Levett
After graduating from the Guildhall School of Music in 1999, Pat has performed with Liane Carroll, Ian Shaw, The James Taylor Quartet, Natalie Williams, Gwilym Simcock, Tim Minchin, Sandi Thom, and Bernard Purdie amongst others. Since 2008 he has been playing for ‘The Puppini Sisters’ touring America, Russia and Europe. Other recent projects have included The Tim Lapthorn Trio, Way Out East (with Mark Lockheart), Earl Thomas with Paddy Milner and The Big Sounds , Dorian Ford's 'The Bill Game - The Music of Bill Evans' and The Clare Hirst Quartet. Pat also plays chromatic harmonica and is a featured soloist on albums by Lauren Dalrymple and Will Grove-White ( Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain). He runs his own 11 piece band called ‘The Coalminers’, the only band in Europe dedicated to playing New Orleans funk and soul.
WORKSHOP LEADER: Michael Grant
Michael Grant studied at the Royal College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama before embarking on a varied career as a performer, composer and teacher.
As a classical soloist Michael has given recitals at the Wigmore Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, the Barbican, the Britten Theatre and St John's Smith Square. He has performed concertos with numerous London and regional orchestras and was co-founder of the Landon Chamber Ensemble. In the world of Musical Theatre, Michael has worked on many shows as a performer and Musical Director and is frequently found in the pits of London's West End theatres, most recently in Wicked, Avenue Q, Top Hat and Singing In The Rain. He has also written two ballets and two musicals for London Fringe theatre companies.
Michael has extensive experience as a music teacher, having coached and taught privately for the past ten years. He recently completed a Graduate Teacher Program to become a qualified classroom teacher, classed as Outstanding.
